Some Virus types

Here is a list of different types of viruses:

Boot Sector - A Boot Sector Virus infects the system area of a floppy or hard drive, or the part that is accessed when your computer is first turned on. Infection usually occurs when booting from an infected disk.

File Infector Viruses - Most of these viruses reside in the memory of a computer and infect programs' .exe and .com files.

Master Boot Record(MBR) Viruses Similar to a Boot Sector viruses, these viruses infect the Master Boot Record and prevent your PC from booting.

Multi-partite viruses - These viruses infect both the boot record and program files.

Macro viruses - Macro Viruses are prevalent in corporate environments where office applications are used, usually Microsoft Office (Word and Excel). They use a program's code to infect data files.

Trojan Horse Viruses - These viruses do not replicate themselves. Instead, they often pose as a harmless file that is downloaded from the web or from an e-mail attachment. These programs can result in the theft or destruction of data files. This type of virus is commonly picked up from peer to peer file sharing programs.

Worms Viruses - Worms replicate themselves without using a host file and can spread very quickly across the internet by releasing documents it has infected.

What is FBI moneypak virus?

FBI Moneypak Virus is a Windows infection, which cyber criminals will use to gather profits. The malicious application can slither in through various security backdoors, like spam email attachments, bundled downloads, encrypted software, etc.,
 

FBI Moneypak Virus is a big issue to computer users, because it completely blocks internet connection , Task Manager, Registry Editor and other executable files. User is left under a locked screen where he can only see the fake FBI virus alert. This alert says, that if you will pay $100 , your computer will get unlocked in 24-72 hours. However, it is a virus, and probably your computer won't be unlocked even if you pay the fine.

Green AV is a fake antivirus software that looks like AntvirusBEST. The rogue distributed through the use fake online malware scanners that tells you that your computer infected with a lot of infections and that you must install Green AV in order to clean your computer. During installation, Green AV is set to start automatically when your computer starts. Immediately after launch, the program starts scanning the computer and list a variety of threats that will not be fixed unless you first purchase the scareware. All of these threats are fake, so you can safely ignore them.

SaveArmor is a rogue antispyware program that designed only for one, to trick you into thinking that your computer is infected. Immediately after launch, SaveArmor will begin to scan your computer and list a large amount of infected files, but all of these files are harmless and were created by the rogue. So you can safely ignore these results. SaveArmor uses false scan results as a method of scaring you into buying the software!

XP Deluxe Protector is a rogue antispyware program from XP Police Antivirus family ( Win PC Defender, Spyware protect 2009. Like other fake antispyware programs, it uses fake alerts and false positives to trick you into buying the software. Antivirus System PRO usually installed itself onto your computer without your permission, through trojans and browser security holes.

During installation, WinBlueSoft configures itself to run automatically every time, when you start your computer. In addition, the rogue configures Windows to run blocker.dll (WinBlueSoft component) every time when you start any program. blocker.dll blocks all programs except a few standart windows applications like iexplorer.exe, explorer.exe and of course winbluesoft.exe.

Once running, WinBlueSoft will scan your computer and reports false or exaggerated system security threats on the computer that cannot be removed unless you first purchase the software. All of these threats are fake, so you can safely ignore them.

Secure Antivirus Pro is a rogue antivirus/antispyware program that installed through the use trojans. Once infected with these trojans your computer will display security alerts that tells you that your computer is infected with malware. These alerts are fake and just being shown to you in order to trick you into buying the software.

Privacy Center is a rogue privacy program that installed through the use of a malware that pretends to be flash video player required to view an online video. When the fake player is installed, it will install Privacy Center on to your PC without your permission.

When installed, Privacy Center configures itself to run automatically every time, when you start your computer. Once running, Privacy Center starts scanning the computer and list a variety of privacy risks on your computer to trick you to buy the paid version of the rogue. Running of the rogue software may drastically slow the performance of your computer
